However, the confirmed offerings are not blanket free movie access, but Genie TV discounts and purchase coupons, along with T Membership movie-ticket benefits.

Genie TV Offers Discounts on More Than 200 Titles and 900-won Movies
KT announced that it would hold a movie discount promotion on Genie TV on September 23. Through the 2nd of the following month, it will offer discounts of up to 60% on more than 200 movies, including ‘Dune’ and ‘Troy,’ while providing some titles, including ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Mission: Impossible,’ for 900 won. For customers who purchase the latest movies, KT said it would provide a 5,000-won TV coupon per movie from September 23 through 30 (5000 won). The latest movies listed as eligible included ‘Okay Madam 2,’ ‘The Last Day of Oak Street,’ and ‘Bigwang.’ Because the coupon benefit is received after purchasing a movie, it is difficult to determine whether viewing is free based solely on the coupon amount.
A Marvel special theater commemorating the re-release of ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ will also operate through September 30. The promotion discounts more than 50 Marvel movies and a package covering ‘Avengers’ Parts 1–4. SK Telecom Offers CGV Tickets for 8,500 Won
SK Telecom introduced a T Membership benefit offering CGV movie tickets for 8,500 won (8500 won), along with two types of concession-stand coupons. This is not a distribution of free movie tickets, but a discount benefit through membership.
The movie benefits from KT and SK Telecom also differ in where they can be used. KT focused on Genie TV video-on-demand (VOD) purchases and discount promotions, while SK Telecom presented CGV movie-ticket benefits through T Membership. The service to check differs depending on whether you are looking for content to watch at home or want to see a movie in a theater.
SK Telecom said that detailed benefits and usage conditions by partner can be checked in the T Membership app. In addition to the ticket price, it is necessary to review the applicable period, eligible customers, and coupon conditions.
Free Video Calls Are Separate From the Movie Promotion
The free video-call benefit that KT announced it would provide from September 24 through 27 is separate from the movie discounts. It applies to eligible KT customers without a separate application, but video calls using mobile data and prepaid mobile phones are excluded.
