Why the Answers Cannot Be Considered Final Even When They Are Available
Some questions in the unofficial answer key were marked as subject to review from the outset. In internal medicine, question 19 was presented as E but classified as a potentially challengeable question, while the correct option for question 78 itself was not determined in the comparison materials. In obstetrics and gynecology, questions 23 and 25 were marked as potentially challengeable without an answer option, while question 32 was presented as A but also classified as open to dispute.
The pediatrics correction was provided only for questions 41 through 80, and both C and D were presented as options for question 42. In general surgery as well, the answers to some questions have not yet been released or remain classified as potentially challengeable questions. This means that even if the answer key appears lengthy, not all questions have the same level of finality.
Both outlets stated that the unofficial answers were based on instructors’ post-exam analyses and could change after subsequent review. Therefore, instead of using the unofficial answer key as a definitive score reference, examinees should compare it with the official preliminary answer key issued by the organization administering ENARE. In particular, it is difficult to determine whether an answer is right or wrong based solely on unofficial corrections for questions with no answer or with multiple answer options listed.
Nursing and R+ Answer Keys Should Be Read in the Same Way
The unofficial nursing answer key is also material prepared by instructors based on their solutions, and readers should check the question wording rather than relying only on the question number. The order of questions may vary depending on the exam version. The answer keys for the R+ subjects likewise combine indications that questions may be challengeable with questions that have not been released, so a quick comparison of numbers and options alone may lead to an incorrect assessment.
The key point of this release is not simply that “the answers have been released,” but who determined them. The instructors’ explanations are a reference point immediately after the exam, while the answer key that serves as the standard in the selection process is the official preliminary answer key released separately.
