In a recent match against Seattle Sounders, his record was compressed into a single game. Chicago conceded first, and in the first half, Maren Haile-Selassie, who received Lewandowski’s pass, equalized. Chicago fell behind again after the restart, but in the 82nd minute of the second half, Lewandowski headed in a ball delivered from the right to restore the balance.
The goal helped Chicago avoid defeat and earn a draw. Interia Sport reported that the official MLS account also posted a video of the equalizer on social media during the match. Because it was a headed finish from a narrow angle, it is reasonable to say that one finish changed the flow of the match.
However, 1 assist and 1 goal do not necessarily indicate overall attacking stability. The fact that he created a decisive moment in one match and the assessment that the team is consistently making use of its striker are separate issues. This match shows that difference as well.

Janusz Michalik, an ESPN commentator working in the United States and a former U.S. international, said of Lewandowski’s first month that the statistics look better than reality. His assessment is an expert analysis, not a confirmed match result. However, he explained specifically why it is difficult to judge based on numbers alone.
Michalik believed that Lewandowski had been unable to spend the team’s preparation period with them and that he did not have enough teammates to supply him with the ball during matches. In his view, a few average crosses are not enough, and Lewandowski cannot currently carry the team’s attack on his own. He also mentioned the player’s age of 38 as one of several conditions.
Sport.pl also reported that Lewandowski did not receive the ball often against Seattle. He was also seen dropping toward the center in search of the ball. When a striker cannot find opportunities simply by staying close to the goal, it is not unusual to see him expand the range of his movement to receive the ball. But that also creates the possibility of reducing his presence in front of goal.
Michalik assessed Chicago as a team that is not yet complete, saying that although it can play well for short periods, it lacks the ability to dominate an entire match. The team’s six-match winning streak was also mentioned, but the view is that the streak does not erase every question about its performances. This too is his interpretation, not a basis for definitively predicting the team’s future results.
A Heroic Moment in One Match and the Team’s Task
Lewandowski was clearly a player directly connected to the point earned against Seattle. He assisted a teammate’s goal and equalized with a late header. In particular, the fact that he registered attacking contributions while the team fell behind twice gave the result considerable weight.

The scene worth watching most closely is not only the goal itself, but how often Lewandowski had become an attacking option before that goal was scored. He showed that he can deliver in decisive moments. On the other hand, if the lack of ball supply mentioned by the expert continues, a gap may remain between his goal record and his perceptible influence within matches.
If this first month had to be summed up in one sentence, it would be a start with respectable results, but one in which how he functions within the team needs further observation. The Seattle match demonstrated Lewandowski’s finishing ability. At the same time, whether Chicago can bring that ability to life often enough in every match has not yet been established by the results.
